Art background
She was born in Turkey in 1979. She has received her bachelor's and master's degrees in sculpture from the Fine Arts School at İzmir 9 Eylül University between 2000-2006.
During her student years, she practiced several sculpturing techniques such as metal processing and mixed-media.
While she mainly focused on metal, she has also explored concepts such as sculpture and illusions during her master's degree program.
She currently works on her art in Barcelona, Spain where she has been living since the summer of 2008. As a nonviolent political activist, she is now exploring the expression of politics in art to create her future projects.

Political background
She started her political activism in 1997 within Izmir War Resisters' Association. She became a nonviolent trainer in 2002. She is working as a nonviolent trainer since then.
She took part in founding the first Antimilitarist Feminist women group of Turkey.
She is actively taking part in antimilitarist feminism, queer, conscientious objection movements in Turkey and internationally.
She became a War Resisters' International council member in 2004. She is still working within WRI and two years ago she became executive member.
She is also working with AJ. Mustee Nonviolent Training Foundation.
